Lawyer Search Guide

Lawyers interested in being connected to individuals and small businesses seeking their services should take the following steps:

Step 1: Select Lawyer Registration Tab to register on the site

Step 2: Enter your requested registration and optional detailed profile information (Note, if you see that you are already listed on the site you can click on your name to begin the process of altering your profile as you see fit. Once you click on your name an email will be sent to you so you can upload and enter additional information).

Step 3: Return to the site to update and edit your profile to reflect any new changes, awards received, or noteworthy demographic information.

Step 4: Encourage your clients to submit feedback on the Submit Review Tab so you have a chance of being featured on our “Who’s Hot List” of the Week.

Note: These reviews should only be completed by your clients and only represent the personal opinions of your clients. Lawyers have an opportunity to respond to any overall review that is less than 3.

Step 5: Recommend Lawyer Search Guide to your peers and colleagues so that they too can get connected!

How do I search for a Lawyer?

Hypothetical: Let’s say you are searching for a lawyer to handle a Traffic Dispute in Chicago.

Step 1: Users should first register to log-in to get access to detailed lawyer profiles and the full benefits of the site.

Step 2: Once there, log onto Lawyer Search Guide, you will immediately be taken to the Search Lawyers tab. Once there you should select Illinois in the state drop down list which will allow you to select Chicago in the city drop down list.

Step 3: After selecting your city, narrow your search by entering Traffic Dispute in the Search by Practice Area Dialog Box.

Step 4: The Search Results will provide a list of lawyers who handle Traffic Disputes in your given area.

The results will display

	• Lawyer’s Name
	• Firm Address
	• Phone Number
	• Access to more detailed profile

Step 5: One of the added benefits of Lawyer Search Guide is that you can click on the name of the lawyer to see a more detailed profile, including any evaluations former clients have provided (if available).

Although reviews reflect the personal opinion of a former client of the given lawyer, users can read how others evaluated this lawyer on overall personal satisfaction with this lawyer, service, timeliness, and responsiveness.

Step 6: Recommend and spread the good news about LawyerSearchGuide to your friends and colleagues!

I am a former client—how do I submit a review?

First, you must register on the site. Next, you should select the Submit Review Tab. To review a lawyer, enter the lawyer’s last name in the dialog box and then press enter. Once a list of names is produced, find the lawyer you hired from the list of results and then click on the lawyer’s name. Please be certain to check the name to make certain you are reviewing the right lawyer as some last names are quite common. You will see a series of buttons to evaluate the lawyer and fields to allow for written feedback. Please be candid and respectful in submitting your review. Reviews found containing malicious and demeaning comments will be removed from the site.

Note, if the lawyer you want to review is not listed, you can add him or her to the site by clicking the Add a Lawyer Tab. If the Add a Lawyer Tab is selected you must first enter the lawyer’s information on the site. Please allow time for the site to process the Add a Lawyer requests and to verify information prior to this lawyer being one of those listed to be reviewed.

Lawyers can be added to the site to be part of the online community. Users simply have to click on the Add a Lawyer Tab and then enter the requisite information. Note that we check and verify the information that is entered, so there is typically a lag between entering and the posting of the information on the site.
